The RN FR Type 2 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is designed for firefighting and hazardous environments. It offers high resistance to flames, positive pressure to prevent contaminated air leakage, and a warning system

RN FR provides optimal safety and comfort while maintaining efficiency, versatility, and ease of use. FR models use high-quality materials and technologies to ensure high flame resistance and Flash Over test compliance with EN 137:2006 standards for breathing apparatus components.

The RN FR mask has an automatic demand valve that maintains positive pressure to prevent inward leakage of contaminated air from outside. To activate the positive pressure mode, press the special button, which also serves as a supplementary air command.

The demand valve connects to the medium pressure hose using a quick coupling, making it easy to disconnect for maintenance. The medium pressure hoses of the reducer and demand valve are protected from flames with a special Kevlar sleeve.

RN FR utilizes the demand valve’s integrated RN System warning feature. This is activated when the cylinder pressure drops below 55 bar. Each inhalation causes a sounding vibration that generates the signal. This allows users to use the full capacity of the cylinder for breathing. The acoustic warning is based on the user’s respiratory frequency, allowing them to distinguish their own signal from nearby noise (Self Test Function). The location of the warning device protects it from frost and dirt.

The back plate is made of vacuum-formed polypropylene and is anatomically shaped for comfortable weight distribution and stability while crouching or crawling. The supporting harness comes with a soft belt in the hips and special padding to increase comfort. This area increases the equipment’s portability. Harnesses and padding are made with aramidic and para-aramidic materials, as well as self-extinguishing foam. The backplate includes special handles for easy transport of the set. The pressure reducer maintains constant outlet pressure and connects to a phosphorescent gauge for easy reading during cylinder emptying. The cylinder has a 300 bar pressure and an EN 144-compliant valve.

FULLFACE MASK
RN FR can be equipped with three different type of masks in EPDM:
TR2002 CL3+, modern design
TR82 CL3+, classic design
TR 82 E with a special system of metal brackets to fit to the slots of Fire Brigades and Police helmets.

All these models are available with threaded or bayonet connector.

DEMAND VALVE

The RN FR can be equipped with either a type A or BN demand valve.
Both activate automatically with a button to stop the airflow.

EXTRA WHISTLE KIT

The accessory “additional alarm” (Cod. 151530000), which is available upon request, allows you to add a continuous whistle to the alarm signal already provided by the demand valve.

RN CONNECTION

The medium pressure hose connecting the reducer to the demand valve can be fitted with quick Euro couplings or Spasciani couplings.
